Animated scroll of Grand Canal opens 'Canal Chic' project

The magnificent river carries the water, and the cultural lineage is passed down through the ages. As 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of China's successful bid to inscribe China's Grand Canal as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and to implement China's emphasis on the protection of cultural heritage of the Grand Canal, an animated scroll "A Memoir of the Grand Canal" was released as the opening work of the project "Canal Chic - Reviving China's Heritage".

The Grand Canal is a crystallization of the wisdom of harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and a product of excellent traditional Chinese culture. With this scroll as a guide, the project "Canal Chic - Reviving China's Heritage" will continue to explore the cultural heritage and spiritual essence of the Grand Canal, and combine it with the elements of China chic to write a glorious chapter of canal culture in the new era.
