Rodolphe Lameyse, CEO of Vinexposium group, expressed his delight at welcoming attendees to Vinexpo Asia Hong Kong 2024, emphasizing the event's significance as a pivotal industry gathering in Asia. He highlighted the challenges confronting the global wine and spirits sector, while also underscoring the optimism and potential within the Asian and Chinese markets.
Dane Cheng, executive director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, extended a warm welcome to both familiar faces and new participants, emphasizing Hong Kong's status as a premier hub for business and trade fairs. The collaboration between the Hong Kong Tourism Board and Vinexposium underscores the city's robust infrastructure and appeal as a prime destination for such prestigious events.
Vinexpo Asia 2024 offers a platform for education, tasting, and idea exchange through the Vinexpo Academy, featuring top-tier masterclasses, conferences, and discovery tastings led by 75 experts and sommeliers. Notable highlights include Les Grandes Degustations showcasing fine Bordeaux estates by the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux and the presentation of highly awarded wines from the latest Vini d'Italia Guide by Italian wine guide Gambero Rosso.
The event continues with a dynamic lineup on May 29 and 30, including engaging sessions such as Roundtable with Industry Titans with Don St Pierre and Dan Siebers, Star Wine List of the Year Asia, Winning India's Wine Market, and Chinese Baijiu Goes Global, promising a rich tapestry of events and tastings for attendees.
