The Zigong Salt History Museum is a specialized museum of Chinese technological history. The site of the museum was built in 1736 and was originally a guildhall for salt merchants from Shaanxi Province during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

The National Museum of China, a four-storeyed main building with two symmetrical wings, runs more than 300 meters north and south along the eastern side of Tian'anmen Square. The predecessors of the National Museum are two museums: the Museum of Chinese History and the Museum of Chinese Revolution.
The Liaoning Provincial Museum, located at the Heping District of Shenyang City, is a provincial level historical and art museum of China. The site of the Museum used to be the residence of Tang Yulin, the military governor of Rehe and a warlord in the Northeast.
The Datong City Museum, located at the ancient Buddhist temple left from the Liao Dynasty (916-1125) in Datong City of Shanxi Province, is a local comprehensive museum of China. It was prepared in 1958 and open to the public in 1959.
